365 Challenge

In 2009 I have set myself a challenge. Inspired by the "painting a day", I will be working on 7 pieces of artwork every week, of every month this year. These pieces will primarily be miniatures, ranging from aceo's (2.5''x3.5'') to 5x7 inch canvas's. If I am painting in a series I may sneak some larger sizes in there. Expect paintings and drawings.

I will be blogging about my progress here, and showing off the completed works. I wont be posting everyday, but as often as I can.

As far as the trials and tribulations go, I didn't get off to the best of starts. My first 4 pieces (Jan 1st-4th) were way below standards so I gessoed/primed over them and plan on creating new works for those days. Let me tell you, I almost never paint over my paintings, so that indicates how awful they really were. At least I thought so. Trust me the new paintings will be much, much better.

This last week (Jan 5th - 11th) was a vast improvement. I completed 7 aceo's, all of which I am very pleased with. I shall be posting the images of these drawings very soon.

So I had a small stumble at the gate, but my momentum is growing for the better. Only 354 days to go!
